We all fall,

Perhaps down into a deep, dark pit, or lost within the endless night.

We face these problems every single day—

Head on, we’re ready again.

The stitches, holding by a fragile thread,

But nonetheless,

They’re still holding,

They still bear that dread.

Because while we all fall,

We must get up.

We rise above our problems,

Through the ways of love,

The thing that makes us human,

Our one communal trait,

We form a bond,

Showing us the way.

A stitch holding us tight, Strengthening our soul, heart, and blood,

Proving we’re strong, ready for any fight.

And as the stitches hold,

Themselves by that tiny hair—

We know that’s all our scars need,

A tiny thread in a sea of despair.

So let us all

Be that thread.
