Poetry: “Deserts” by Thea Tse

deserts - green plants on dry sand under blue sky

Deserts

by Thea Tse

Some deserts are hot and sandy;

But others are very chilly.

Some dwelling animals are reptiles,

The creatures travel for miles and miles.

Desert wind piles up dunes of sand.

This treasured site has precious land.

Planet Earth Poetry Contest

Youth - Honorary Mention. It's amazing how if you've visited, camped, jogged, and evenutally walked a desert, you'll notice how much the landscape can be so alive.
